Galai produced a line of instruments for measurement, analysis, and characterization of particulate size, shape, and other factors. Galai's solutions are based on two complementary disciplines which can be used together in one instrument or separately: the Time of Transition (TOT) laser scanning technology for particulate size, and Dynamic Shape Characterization (DSC), based on image analysis of moving particulates. Products: Particle Size and Shape Analyzers- The Galai CIS-50/100 Analyzer combines the two disciplines of Particle Size Analysis (PSA) and Dynamic Shape Characterization (DSC) to provide particle size and shape information for both spherical and non-spherical particles over a range of particle types and sizes. The core technology is based on TOT Particle Size Analysis with DSC (Dynamic Shape Characterization) available as an option. The CIS-100 features a wide TOT range (0.5 to 3600 micrometers), with high resolution (300 real-size channels), and can handle high concentrations. The CIS-50 is a low cost version of the CIS-100 for applications in which the speed and range of measurement and the concentration range of the latter are unnecessary. The large selection of interchangeable accessories enables measurement of liquids, powders, slurries, aerosols, pastes, fibers, thin film, and emulsions. Dynamic Shape Analyzer- The DSA-10 is a laboratory particle shape analyzer based on Galai's DSC video microscope technology. Galai's collection of interchangeable measurement cells and accessories enable shape analysis of particles dispersed in a flow medium, gas or liquid, or as a thin film on a slide. On-Line Products: CIS-1000 Industrial Sensor Series- This series is the industrial version of the CIS laboratory line for flow processes. These units are built for the industrial environment for online, by-the-line, and rough laboratory uses. The internal structure is mounted on shock absorbers. Three models are available: CIS-1001 with TOT; CIS-1002 with both TOT and DSC; and the CIS-1003 equipped with DSC. Cells are available for high pressure and high temperature flows. Also Oil in Water Monitoring system is able to analyze and differentiate between particulate in a live process stream. Free oil droplets and suspended solids in a produced water stream can be analyzed by type, size, and total content. On-line oil / particulate monitoring of water. The measuring method does not require reagents or solvents. Also the WSCANARRAY system offers Image Analysis platform for a wide range of complex measurements in diverse fields such as metallography, biology, mineralogy, medicine, geology, electronics, and pharmaceutics.
