Sievers Instruments, a subsidiary of Ionics, manufactures Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzers, elementar analyzers and element specific detectors for gas chromatography. Sievers offers a full range of instrumentation for measurement low levels of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) in water, including: The Portable TOC Analyzer and TOC Autosampler, On-Line Pharmaceutical TOC Analyzer, Turbo Reclaim TOC Analyzer, Ultrapure PPT TOC Analyzer, On-Line Pharmaceutical TOC Analyzer and AP Pharmaceutical TOC Analyzer. Sievers line of instruments also includes: Sulfur Specific Analyzer (SSA), Sulfur Chemiluminescense Detector (SCD), Nitrogen Chemiluminescense Detector (NCD) and Nitric Oxide Analyzer (NOA). The Sulfur Chemiluminescence Detector (SCD®) is the sensitive and selective chromatographic detector for sulfur containing compounds. The SCD provides a linear and equimolar response to sulfur compounds without interference from most sample matrices. The complete SCD system includes the stainless steel burner, interface controller, vacuum pump and detector. In addition, an option is available to allow for the acquisition of both Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and SCD data in series. The Nitrogen Chemiluminescence Detector (NCD®) selectively detect nitrogen compounds at low picogram levels. Both the SCD and NCD® responses are equimolar, linear and highly selective. In addition to detecting organic nitrogen compounds, the NCD responds to ammonia, hydrazine, hydrogen cyanide and NOx. The NCD can be used as a single detector or coupled in series with an FID, allowing for chromatographic traces to be acquired from both detectors simultaneously.
