JM Science is a company that offers both traditional and unique solutions to the separation and detection of various compounds for HPLC, FIA, Process Control and Downstream Processing. A wide range of silica and polymer-based HPLC columns and various pumps and detectors for all scales of separation. Shodex HPLC Columns (Polymer-based), Cosmosil HPLC Columns (Silica-based), HPLC Pumps (analytical and preparative), HPLC Accessories. HPLC Detectors: Refractive Index Detectors, Chiral Detectors, Chemiluminescence Detectors and UV detectors. Refractive Index Detectors- The Shodex RI series features a soft key pad, digital display, improved auto zero and range, offset function, and reduced maintenance. Available in analytical, (RI-71), semi-preparative (RI-72) and micro-bore (RI-74), all models offer automatic compensation for sensitivity, ease of use and remote automatic operation. Available as an OEM product. Chiral Detectors- The Chiralyzer, a sensitive optical rotation detector for monitoring optically active compounds. The unit features a solid state optical bench, Faraday compensation and glass-lined analytical and semi-prep flow cells. The unit is also available in a process version. Shodex model OR-2 is also available. Chemiluminescence Detectors- JM Science currently offers two models, the Shodex CL-2 and the Soma S-3400. Both detectors have been especially designed for ultra highly sensitive trace detection in HPLC. Both employ a post column reaction method to detect compounds in the attomole range. Other features include: spiral-type flow cell assures adequate mixing, reaction and detection time wide linear dynamic range between sample concentration and detector output low cost per analysis with an easy-to-use rugged design. On-Line Sample Prepation Unit- The OSP-2A is a totally automated on-line sample preparation unit that easily integrates the tedious time-consuming task of solid phase extraction into the HPLC system. The unit uses disposable sample extraction cartridges and can be used with any HPLC system that has the capacity for 3 timed events. Sample Cleanup Columns- Shodex RSpak CARB-413 series has been especially designed for the analysis of residual N-methylcarbamate pesticides in food. Shodex CLNpak EV-2000 series columns designed especially for the GPC cleanup of samples for determining residual pesticides. Also provide OEM pumps, detectors, degassers, and other instruments as a turnkey arrangement for several major manufacturers. JM Science stock parts and provide complete service for all Shodex columns, detectors, degassers and accessories. JM Science also service and sell all ERC (formerly ERMA) detectors and degassers. CIM Monolithic Columns and HPLC Columns- The new Convective Interaction Media (CIM) monolithic columns for very fast analytical and preparative separation of proteins and nucleotides. These new supports are based on a highly cross-linked, porous, monolithic methacrylate polymer that delivers ultra-fast separation of macromolecules with high resolution and binding capacity. The monolithic columns have very low back pressures and are compatible with any peristaltic pump or conventional LC/HPLC equipment. Target proteins can be isolated from, for example, highly complex plasma samples much faster and with higher yields than when using conventional separation media. CIM HPLC columns are available in different chemistries and may be used in the high performance anion-exchange, cation-exchange, hydrophobic interaction and affinity chromatography modes. Bioprocessing Systems and Components- JM Science combines it's sensors with modern analytical techniques and methods (e.g. FIA, CFA, etc.) and configures hard- and software modules to user-specific system solutions. Services include consulting, planning and engineering of customized solutions for on-line-monitoring and analysis of key components in bioprocesses (fermentations, cell cultures, process control in research and development, pharma, food and beverage industries). On-line FTA system for glucose, alcohol and amino acid analysis for bioprocess monitoring and control.
